Each situation is different, but as rule of thumb. If you are looking for more flexibility in budget and audience creation as well as down funnel conversions then choose the Auction buying type.


On the other hand if you have a set lifetime budget and are looking to run brand awareness Facebook ads. The Reservation buying type might be for you. Just keep in mind that after you upload and reserve your Facebook ads you have locked in your estimate.
